Alica Tserkovnaja (she/her, they/them)
[ɐˈlisə t͡sɨrˈkovnəjə] Алиca Церковная - b. 1988 in Leningrad, SSSR. Stockholm based.
My artistic practice is made up of somatic practises, writing, sound making, acting and digital media working across performance, dance, physical acting and music.
Through collaborative processes and solo work, the final form can take many shapes; site-specific performances, sound pieces, plays at theatre stages, dance performances outdoors, talks and knowledge sharing in different forms.
I serve as a board member of the artist-run association Fylkingen (2024–27).
Also, I teach, lead, and design educational workshops for young adults and children, nurturing their artistic craft and creativity.
I hold an MA in Music Performance from Malmö Music Academy and a BA in Mime Acting from Stockholm University of the Arts.
